Thereâs something wrong with this society. Why do we have to try to feel as little as possible so as not to scare anyone away? If we donât, what happens then?
We all agree that nothing is the same as it used to be. Technologyâeven though we use it to talk to people who are far awayâalso makes us feel isolated. No one values a handwritten letter or an open confession of our feelings anymore. No matter how hard we try to please someone, the best we can do is send an emoji and a photo via chat.
Am I the only one who misses the value of things the way they used to be? Maybe the cheesy and romantic stuff is underrated, but for me, everything related to love will never lose its value. Letters, little gestures, special dinners, a âgood morningâ message, a âDid you eat?â, âAre you okay?â, or a âLet me know when you get there.â
Showing interest in others isnât a weakness. Itâs not a weakness to confess that youâre in love, even if the other person doesnât feel the same way; people would say, âIf you tell them how you feel, youâve got nothing to lose,â but that very person gets scared and goes into hiding. They disappear. Then you realize you did have something to lose after all. Whatâs going on in that other personâs mind?
